through art. A city government facilitates a functional public art initiative, merging aesthetics and creative thinking with history, identity,

and private business. So I thought if we could tie that public art heritage together, we could be a place people would wanna come to visit. And it's really starting to catch on. It's also a face lift for old downtown buildings in need of some new life. I mean, it it it's it's bringing just like that right there. See that one right there? That that brings that building out. Yeah. It makes a statement. Yes. You know, it it the building was plain. Now it has some it says it says something.

I'll explain on the next Municipal Equation from the North Carolina League of Municipalities online at nclm.0rg. Municipal Equation comes out every other Tuesday. You can catch this upcoming episode on March 28 at soundcloud.com/municipalequation or on iTunes, Google Play, or other fine podcast apps. And so you might have heard that our offices were caught up in that devastating downtown Raleigh, North Carolina fire the night before Saint Patrick's Day, we meaning the North Carolina League. We were significantly impacted, but thankfully nobody was hurt, and that's the most important thing. And we salute the firefighters who kept this truly massive blaze from spreading further. It could have been a lot worse. For anyone wondering, the League is able to continue operations and services pretty much without interruption, partly because all of our vital data and computer operations are housed off-site. We'd like to thank everybody for the support and the outreach. It really does mean a lot, and we'll update you as we know more. In the meantime, you can reach me at bbrown@nclm.org or on Twitter at muni equation. That's at m u n I equation. This is Ben Brown. I'll talk to
