That's not just any old HR boss. That's an assistant chief of police. Law enforcement agencies around the country are having a heck of a time recruiting qualified people to be cops. You know, desirability, pay, the scrutiny from the outside. If we're talking about start from scratch careers, it doesn't feel like the best time to wanna wear a police badge, except we found one department that's turned things around, now essentially has a backlog of qualified people who wanna work specifically for that police agency. We talk about it on the next episode of Municipal Equation, November 28. It's a podcast about cities and towns and changing times. It comes to you from the North Carolina League of Municipalities. All episodes past, present, and future at soundcloud.com/municipalequation. You can interact with us on Twitter. The handle is at muni equation. Subscribe on iTunes or Google Play or dial us up on your favorite podcast app. And I wanna say real quick, our schedule is gonna fluctuate a little bit over the holiday period, but we still have more to do before the 2017. Reach out if there's anything you'd like to say, something you'd like us to announce on the podcast. My email is bbrown@nclm.org. This is Ben Brown. We'll talk to you soon.
