maybe the way we've been defining smart actually isn't smart. There's a lot of motivation out there with regard to smart cities to be the tech activated city of tomorrow. You know, the thing we increasingly hear about how we need to utilize data gathering and analytical technologies to create efficiencies in government and service delivery to levels we've never before achieved. We've talked about it plenty on this podcast. Totally hugely important topic. But some are saying, hang on a sec. Are we all clear on what we should be doing? If it's really important that we get the answer right and the and the question right, then it doesn't necessarily matter how fast we go about it because the consequences of and the importance of getting it right really matter. What's different about that? Why might techno centric thinking be problematic for cities? That's on the next Municipal Equation, a podcast about cities and towns in the face of change. From the North Carolina League, the municipalities. Look for it February 6. You can find past episodes at nclm.0rg/municipalequation. Interact on Twitter. The handle is at muni equation. That's at m u n I equation. Or you can send an email with feedback or episode requests or anything else. The address is bbrown@nclm.org. If you have a comment that I can air on the podcast, speak it into a voice memo on your phone and email that file to me. It's just a cool way of adding more voices and participation to the podcast. For example, we got a lot of feedback in our last episode about the m word. Keep it coming. Send me your thoughts in a voice memo, and we'll play it on the next episode. Talk to you soon. This is Ben Brown.
