A preview of the next municipal equation. The story of newspaper contraption and consolidation has something that's been going on for a while now. The world of news consumption is different today. I'm not talking about fake news or anything like that. More in terms of coverage and engagement. You know, like when a local newspaper shuts down and a city hall loses coverage, what's the fallout? You know, the first instinct might be to think there goes the watchdog.
But there's a lot more to it. Every community's local media landscape is different, and so governments have to be ready to adapt to
to fill a vacuum. And when it comes to audiences that seem disengaged from the civic information feed, what would work for them? Who's stepping up to speak their language? Get the word out and get them more engaged in their local government, for instance. We just realized that none of our friends were talking about these issues.
